Ponmudi Kerala is a special place for me in my life. My First Visit to Ponmudi Hill station was in the year 2018. I felt great and very much thrilled when I visited here First time in my life. That was a Family trip. Latterly, I visited there again in the year 2019. Because I was so much interested to enjoy this place. To be very honest, this is one of my favorite experiences in my life.
We loved the nice climate there. Actually, this place is full of foggy. The hills around
Ponmudi is filled with clouds. It was a really amazing experience when we could
not see each other nearby because of these clouds and Foggy. Hey, don’t think these
clouds are only in the sky. No, it’s there in down. These white clouds touched us and
felt very much cool.
Here, you can’t see any buildings, people, or vehicles anywhere in your scenery anymore.
Everywhere you look is nature, the green and feel amazing. There are no sounds
even. It’s only the sounds from mother nature.
We backed to a resort nearby and we enjoyed tea. Hot tea or coffee is really great in
the evening after spending time at Ponmudi Hills. Not only these hills but there are
also a few more beautiful and attractive places there for you to visit here.

Ponmudi opens at 8.00 am in the morning. Please be kind enough here at 8.00 am.
Though you reach here before 8.00 am, the management will not allow you to enter.
That’s why. The Ponmudi normally closes by 4.00 pm in the evening. Therefore, you have to

If you are a visitor from another country or another state of India, you have to reach Kerala State in India first.
Reaching By Air To The Region of TVM
In short, Kerala State has few International Airports. Among them, Trivandrum International
Airport (TVM) is the nearest Airport for reaching Ponmudi. (Trivandrum is also
known as Thiruvananthapuram by Indians. Both are the same)
Trivandrum To Ponmudi on Roads
As there are rare opportunities for us to reach Ponmudi using Railways, we have to
use roads. We can use public transport if you don’t have your own or hired vehicle. Further, the tickets for the busses are cheaper comparing other ways.
Ponmudi is situated on the 53km northeast side of the Trivandrum district. So, you
have to reach the Main Bus stand at Tvm. After that, find a bus to reach “vithura”
from there. You have to reach around 22km on the west side of vithura town
towards Ponmudi. Remember, the buses are working at fixed times. Better start
your journey in the morning.
If you prefer to use a taxi, then you can try so. There are many agencies available where you can
hire them online. So here, you have to fix the amount you have to pay per 1km
before you start your journey.
